Tasuke is a student at the Metropolitan Police Academy. His dream is to become the top cop and fight against the awful villains in Edo City. Although Tasuke has strong sense of justice and is eager to fight crime, he is quite goofy and often makes serious mistakes.
Not only do students at the academy have to study hard, they also have field exercises to catch villains in the city. Excellent students are awarded an honorable badge. Once a student collects 10 badges, then they can receive the official police license. On the other hand, students who make mistakes or cause people trouble forfeit their badges.
