Lag's long search for his hero Letter Bee Goos ends with a shocking reunion in which Goos, now devoid of his heart, identifies himself as Noir, a “Marauder” working for the anti-government group REVERSE. The second chapter of the novice Letter Bee Lag's story takes him deep into the political unrest that threatens the peace of Amberground. On top of dangerous beasts, the Letter Bees now have members of REVERSE to fear as they ambush and try to steal letters from them. Determined to recover Goos's heart, Lag and his friends venture on deadly battle on which the fate of Amberground hangs in the balance.
